Tear Dungeon @ Barracuda (Austin, Texas, March 3, 2016)

TearDungeon blood spit Barracuda

By David Brendan Hall

Unforgiving brutality was sought and found Thursday night (March 3) at Austin’s Barracuda (formerly Red 7) in the ghoulish guise of local hardcore quintet Tear Dungeon. Wearing masks, spitting / spraying blood on themselves and their audience while running through a short set of crushing tunes like “Love Fighter” and “Fuck You,” frontman Andrew Cashen and his droogs (known around town for their drastically-different, primarily peppy projects A Giant Dog and Sweet Spirit) came with the intent to shock ‘n’ roll and succeeded in sinister fashion. ATX, meet your new favorite metal-mongers: TEAR DUNGEON.
